Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

I’m very keen on Micellar Cleansing Waters, so when Garnier added their version to the market, I couldn’t wait to try it.  I have also been trying their new eye make-up remover alongside the water as well.
Garnier Micellar Water
For the past 3 weeks I have been religiously using this water, morning and night, after a previous micellar water had run out.

If you are not aware what a micellar water is; it’s basically a water based makeup remover, the water is suspended with oil droplets, which dissolve the makeup, grime, dirt and oils.

I found this one to be very gentle on the skin, it’s gentle enough to use on the eye area as well, although I have been using the accompanying eye make up remover instead for this.  If you use too much, it does foam up a little. It cuts through makeup easily and skin feels refreshed, soft and clean. I have very sensitive, easily irritated skin and it definitely suits my skin type. It doesn’t really smell of anything, if anything there’s a very subtle medicated scent.  It claims to last for 200 uses; I’m not sure if this is accurate, as I have used twice a day now for 3 weeks and only have 1/3 of the bottle left.

I do really like this, and would buy again, very similar to Bioderma, a great alternative.
I’m also loving the eye makeup remover as well.  It’s really gentle, removes everything and has a pleasant smell.  Both are a definite must at the moment.
Garnier’s Micellar Water is currently on a special offer at £3.33 from Boots.  However they are currently out of stock, Superdrug have it in stock for £4.99. Still very cheap.
The eye makeup remover is £2.33 from Boots, normally £3.50.
  • I definitely want to try these! Does the normal micellar water cut through eye make up or do you need the separate one? 🙂

  • Hi Hun, I have found it does, I have been using both to see what the eye make up remover remover was like. However you wouldn't need this, just the micellar water

  • The water will get rid of every bit of eye makeup, I'm not sure about water proof though as don't use this. But every day mascara is just dissolves beautifully x

  • I have been using the Garnier micellar water for the past couple of weeks now and I really like it. I have tried removing eye makeup with it but I found that I prefer a separate solution for the eyes. Overall though, it's a great product!

  • I know Bioderma is number one for the most, but I really like this Garnier micellar water and the price is great)

  • This stuff is all over my blogreel at the minute and everyone has only good things to say about it. My Simple eye makeup remover has suddenly (randomly) started stinging so I might have to give this ago. Especially if it's on offer!! xx

  • I have such sensitive eyes, and it doesnt seem to affect me, the worst micellar water for this is Superdrug's version B Pure – i like this but stings my eyes like crazy!

  • Yeah I agree, Bioderma is great but this is very comparable. If you did a blind testing and this product was in a Bioderma bottle I do not think you would really be able to tell the difference.

  • Give it a go hun, it is a great product and great value for money, even when its at its most expensive. let me know hoe you get on if you try this. x

  • I'm yet to try out cleansing waters, but I think I'll start with this one!

  • It really is a great place to start. Hope you're enjoying the blog x

  • Thank you stayed tuned for many more x

  • I really want to try this Micellar Water – it sounds amazing, and so cheap too!! xx
