For my birthday, I was really lucky and treated to some great Benefit goodies. Now I was excited to see ‘Hello Flawless’ on my pile of presents and could not wait to try. I have resisted for nearly a week, thinking I would use something else up instead, it just wasn’t going to happen. I am just a sucker for Benefit! I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and I must say I’m really rather impressed. This is a great all round foundation.
First off, look at that packaging. Classy and fun with the standard Benefit twist. The actual bottle is fuss-free, no mess involved here. I love the fact you are not going to waste a single ounce of this product and see exactly how much you are using. As you use the product, the pump raises up the bottle, ingenious!
I decided to apply this with my trusty Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and this worked rather well. I suggest using 1 1/2 -2 pumps for your whole face. This seemed the perfect amount to provide fairly light to medium coverage. The actual foundation is quite watery, it literally feels like you are buffing water into the skin. My complexion looked just like my skin but better; it was even, freckles still poking through.
However as the foundation seems quite buildable I think you would be able to cover these if you wished. If you have any break-outs, you would need to use concealer to cover though as the foundation wouldn’t provide enough coverage and could end up looking cakey. The consistency is slightly heavier than a tinted moisturiser/BB cream but not quite as heavy as a regular foundation.
Filled with SPF 25, Vitamin C and E derivatives and it’s oil free, this is perfect for my dry skin. It feels hydrated, and doesn’t appear to sit in fine lines. Perfect! I really love this, my skin’s good anyway, but this just does make it look flawless, natural and no cakeyness in sight. Brilliant!
Seriously impressed, perfect for every day
If you wish to try, there are 9 shades available (I use “I’m So Money” Honey) from John Lewis,
£26.50 for 30ml (the price is the only downside, however is comparable to other high-end foundations).
