I love a good scrub. That feeling of smoother, softer skin and rubbing away the old to make way for new. Personally one of my favourites is Soap & Glory’s Sugar Crush, which does a fantastic job.
As the tub ran out, I knew I had to buy another scrub of course it had to be S & G again, this time I opted for Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub. It literally smells of breakfast, maple syrup and sugar. I want to spoon this on waffles or pancakes. Serve with fresh orange juice. Oohhh stop, S & G, you are making me feel hungry! Aside from smelling good enough to eat, does this do the job?
This scrub is actually fantastic, jam-packed with goodness, the granules are just the right size to scrub away the dead skin. You only need to use the smallest amount, if you do go overboard, it can leave a slightly greasy film over the skin. I find it almost impossible though to use a small amount of this as it just smells so ruddy good! After using Smoothie Star, I find skin feels softer for around 3 days, however I would recommend using a hydrating moisturiser afterwards, especially at this time of year.
I must admit, I do feel a little bundled up. After all the endless summer days of vest-tops and flipflips, now replaced with boots, socks and scarfs, it feels like skin will be under wraps for a long time to come. Still, I have made a pledge to myself, that I am going to continue scrubbing and moisturising all through the Winter, so when the warmer months roll round again, my skin will already be in tip top condition.
Soap and Glory’s Smoothie Star is the perfect product to help me achieve this, all for just £8.00.
Skin is hydrated, soft and smells a-mazing! What is not too love?
