MAC’s Cremesheen Lipglass in Deelight has already featured on these pages, and has long been a favourite. This gloss is the perfect neutral shade, lasts ages and lips just look, well amazing.
Getting a little more organised with my blogging schedule, I have happily had the time to publish my November favourites.
I have had a couple of new discoveries this month and am loving these products, so much so, they will already feature on the repurchase list.
Bee-stung and beautiful.
Talking of bees, Vaseline’s Queen Bee Lip Balm, would be a welcome addition to any collection. Beautifully scented, not overpowering though, this tasty balm is extremely hydrating. It does remind me of a slightly thinner version of Nuxe Reve De Miel’s famous balm. Used twice daily, this has made a significant difference to my lips, and any dryness seems to have cleared up. Have dry lips? This may work for you.
One for the skincare lovers out there. Urban Decay’s B6 vitamin packed face spray provides much needed hydration at this time of year. I don’t use to set my makeup, however it is great for a quick refresh and pick-me up. If like me, you have dry skin, this is certainly worth a shot.
The Balm’s Frat Boy hasn’t been in the collection long, however it is highly pigmented and such a gorgeous colour that I can see this be something I reach for over and over again. Using only a light hand this provides the cheeks with a lovely pink flushed glow.
Rimmel’s 25 Hour Nude Foundation has been the one to use for a light, natural but medium coverage base. Great staying power with a lovely finish.
The stand out product of the month and fact the last few weeks is Kevyn Aucoin’s Sculpting Powder. A taupe (almost grey) toned powder, once perfectly applied, provides even the roundest of faces with defined model-like cheekbones. The perfect tone of this lightweight powder mimics where a natural shadow would fall. Once you get the knack of blending this, it truly can slim the face and make you look put together. This product is just beautiful and I don’t even mind the price tag, as to me this makes the most difference to my makeup application.
The last item featuring this month is Lauren Conrad’s Style book. A great coffee table or bedside read. I am hoping when I have read this from cover to cover that I will be able to emulate LC’s polished style. I can feel a wardrobe detox/prepare to shop/style overhaul coming on…….
