Rimmel Provocalips

Rimmel’s Provocalips filled me with intrigue, 16 hour ‘kiss proof’ lip colour.

I wasn’t sure if I would like these or not, so I opted for one of the most neutral shades – 730 ‘Make Your Move’ to give them a road test. This could be the perfect lip product for the party season, especially if there is an abundance of mistletoe.

The actual concept of a double ended lip colour is ideal. The colour is one end, the top coat the other. Once the stain had been applied it does feel very tacky. The top coat, seals in the colour and provides the shine, reducing the tackiness.

Easy to apply, the product sets in place and it literally will not budge.  When the time came to remove my makeup, I scrubbed at my lips, used make up removers (oil free and with oil), Bioderma, Lush lip scrub, a tooth brush, wipes, had a hot shower, face scrub and nothing would remove this.

Now I am all for long-lasting products but this is ridiculous. Provocalips is great and really terrible at the same time.

If you are looking for a long-lasting lip product, then this may be it,  However you may have real problems removing the stain. Don’t think I will be reaching for this again, due to that very reason.

If you wish to try these head over to Boots. £6.99 each.

  • It sounds like a great product for wearing on a night out if you don't want to keep reapplying but I definitely wouldn't look forward to removing it. Imagine if it was a really bright colour! x

  • I love the colour, however it is almost too long lasting! lol x

  • It would be disastrous if it was a bright colour lol! x
Something long lasting it is great, but ridiculous to remove! x
