It seems when you’re so busy the ‘not-so important’ things get forgotten. Like an overdue haircut. And to be honest I am not a fan of sitting in the hairdressers chair. So desperately needing a good cut, I decided to have a few inches chopped off my hair for a ‘choppy’ look, inspired by the fabulous Vivianna Does Makeup. Minimal styling required.
Apologies for the lack of a frontal picture. The day I had the chop, it was raining and windy. I left the salon looking sleek and polished. A 5 minute walk later, with lack of umbrella, meant my hair was flat, frizzy and stuck to my lipgloss. The following day after I had slept on it, it needed re-doing. In the future I am planning makeup posts so you should get to see it very soon. Or it may crop-up (get it!) on Instagram/Pinterest/Twitter.
Chuffed with my shorter style, it’s so versatile with so many short layers. It can be worn messy, sleek, down and is long enough to tie up.
This hairstyle is ideal, working all the time and having a busy life, the last thing I want to do is spend hours on my hair. Now it’s a 5 minute job in the morning. I have re-discovered salt-sprays, dry shampoo, serums and mists.
Left to dry naturally, it still looks good with minimal effort. Perfect!
Now manageable, the GHD’s are out of retirement.
