Well it appears the break has done me good and I’m back in the blogging grove. So without further ado lets kick off with some lip action.
Not one for normally using lip liner, after all the hype of Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheats, I had to join the bandwagon (be it a little late). I have not used any type of lip-liner for over 10 years, since using Rimmel’s East End Snob and CT’s Pillow Talk I am a changed woman. To be honest overdrawing your lips and doing a dark liner with frosty gloss in-between never really did it for me.
These two pencils, have changed the way I have been applying my makeup. Normally a creature of habit, I have stepped away from lipgloss and have a new routine in town.
Rimmel’s Exaggerate Full Color Lipliner is incredible. Not quite as creamy as CT’s Lip Cheat, but if you are on a budget or watching the pennies, it is a really, really great alternative. You would have to have an amazing eye to notice the difference with the finished result.
To get the best results from either of these, I find that if you apply lip balm all over and rub into the lips so you start with a smooth base, this works best. Then I draw around my lip line, and then fill in my lips. So simple and so effective. And if I am in a fancy mood, I will finish off with a slick of clear gloss.
Using either of these looks like you have used a filter. Lip tone is even, lips look full, natural and improved.
We all know CT’s is much more expensive, however it is creamier and lasts longer. If you want something that gives a similar effect on a budget head on down to your local Rimmel counter.
