A Healthy Breakfast Shake.

So, the holiday is booked.  Kos if you were wondering. A super-deluxe spa included. I cannot wait. Literally. Excited is an under-statement. Facials and massages. An infinity pool. Endless reading and warm sun.  I could quite easily slip off into a daydream world…….

Anyway now I know we are definitely going away, the thought of having to bare all in a bikini fills me with fear. Especially after all these months of hiding under jeans and leggings. So it’s time to get back on track and get healthy.  Sure, body brushing and oodles of moisturiser can help. But I want to work on the inside out.

Scratching my head with what to have for breakfast this morning, I couldn’t help but notice the slightly over-ripe fruit that needed clearing up.  I dusted off the Breville Blend (cheaper version of a Nutribullet, for only £20) and started on my smoothie concoction.

Here’s what I added:

A handful of strawberries and blueberries
2 small bananas
1 apple
Chia seeds
A splash of water.

As Jamie Oliver would say I wazzed it all up in the blender and then poured into a glass. It was delicious and I felt full for hours.  There was hardly any washing up and to top it off it’s extremely good for you. Carrying on with the good intentions I followed it with a peppermint tea, great for the old digestion.

Three months seems a long way off until I hop on that plane, however as we all know time flies. As I sit and type this post, I am happy-ish in knowing that I have made a small start.  Suddenly that Wispa in the cupboard doesn’t seem quite so tempting and that ‘bikini body’ does.
