No Clogs Allowed. Soap and Glory’s Self Heating Deep Pore Detox Mask. The latest ‘regular’ to feature in the face mask drawer.
Marketed as a deep pore detox mask suitable for oily/combo skin, I was a little sceptical. After all I normally use clay masks and moisture masks to replenish my dry skin, which it seems to love, so wondered if this would dry my skin out even more.
Noticing a little congestion at the tip of my nose (damn you blackheads), I needed something to pack a punch, here’s where this comes in.
Soap and Glory recommend massaging a grape-sized amount onto your face, until it turns blue. This means the product is evenly dispersed and it will then start to heat up. The heat isn’t too intense, just right. After 5 minutes remove with a clean, warm muslin cloth.
Now this is strong stuff. It doesn’t smell overly pleasant, bathroom cleaner like with a hint of mint. Originally I used this all over my face, but it’s too harsh and dries my skin out, however for a quick nose treatment, this has been my saving grace and new regular favourite.
The mask is easy to apply and to remove and leaves you with super clear skin, even after one use the blackheads on my nose had reduced considerably.
A really great product, definitely added to the ‘must re-purchase’ list.
