Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – Revisited.
August 18, 2015
I first reviewed the Real Techniques’ Miracle Complexion Sponge over a year ago now and I wasn’t very impressed. Watching Vivianna Does Makeup on a weekly basis, she always raves on about this and I thought maybe I’m not using it right and I’ll give it another go. All the product recommendations she gives are fantastic. Inexpensive, I hauled myself to Boots to pick a new one up. I use their brushes on a daily basis and they’re fantastic, so I convinced myself to give it another try. But was it the right decision?
Firstly check out the original review, the pictures made me smile, at least they seem to have improved somewhat!
I’m not quite sure what happened first time around, as I used this again this morning and it blended the foundation out, like a dream. It didn’t seem to soak up the product like before (maybe it was the foundation?) and left a flawless even coverage over the face.
The sponge was pliable, soft and bounced beautifully on and off the face. The tip was perfect and made any concealer disappear with ease. I must say I am baffled. When I used this sponge all those months ago I just couldn’t get on with it at all, now I think it’s pretty good. It would still take a while to convince me it’s as good as the Beauty Blender, however I have been using the Miracle Complexion Sponge on a daily basis so it must be good.
I’m glad I gave this small, orange sponge another chance….
