I first tried Real Techniques’ Miracle Complexion Sponge over a year ago now and I wasn’t very impressed. After using the much more expensive Beauty Blender and loving it, I thought maybe I’m not using it the correct way and decided to give it another go.
I hauled myself to Boots to pick a new one up. I use their brushes on a daily basis and they’re fantastic, so I convinced myself to give it another try. But was it the right decision?
I’m not quite sure what happened first time around, as I used this again this morning and it blended the foundation out, like a dream.
It didn’t seem to soak up the product like before (maybe it was the foundation I was using at the time?) and the sponge left a flawless even base all over the face.
The sponge was pliable, soft and bounced beautifully on and off my face. The tip perfect to blend in concealer with ease. I must say I am baffled. When I used this sponge all those months ago I just couldn’t get on with it at all, now I think it’s pretty good.
It would still take a while to convince me it’s as good as the Beauty Blender, however I have been using the Miracle Complexion Sponge on a daily basis so it must be good.
I’m glad I gave this small, orange sponge another chance….
