A Neutral Eyeshadow Palette to Add to Your Collection From Zoeva: Cocoa Blend (perfect for blue eyes).
September 8, 2015
Cocoa Blend, this is the very first product I got my hands on from Zoeva. I’d never had I the pleasure of meeting this lovely brand before. Oh, apart from a blending brush, which is pretty excellent. Does that count? Anyway, their Cocoa Blend palette is inspired by truffles, so quite frankly it is any girl’s dream palette. Beautiful, rich chocolate and cocoa tones, which would suit everyone. Comparable to Urban Decay’s Naked palettes, I actually prefer the buttery formulation of these shadows. It has a warmer vibe than Lorac’s Pro Palette and it’s much cheaper than both.
Using a good eye primer (I have slightly oily lids), these shadows lasted around 6 hours. The combination of neutral tones in the palette, are perfect to enhance and to create a neutral eye or to smoke it out at night for a more ‘look at me’ dramatic look.
The shadows are soft and creamy, highly pigmented and blend beautifully with a fluffy brush (MAC 217 anyone?)
There are 10 shades in the palette shimmery and matte (if you have blue eyes like me, then this is your dream palette):
Bitter Start: Warm-toned ivory (the only shade lacking pigmentation, so ideal for a base colour).
Sweeter End: Perfect for an every day rose-gold wash.
Warm Notes: Think MAC Cranberry. Warm and rich toned.
Subtle Blend: Deep metallic bronze.
Beans Are White: Ironically this is the darkest shadow in the palette. An almost matte black shadow.
Pure Ganache: A gorgeous rich, golden bronze. On a par with MAC’s Woodwinked. My favourite.
Substitute For Love: Orange toned, warm brown. Perfect for the crease.
Freshly Toasted: A rich toned, dark rusty brown with a matte finish.
Infusion: Almost black with flecks of gold glitter. Stunning when this catches the light.
Delicate Acidity: Deep mauve and slightly duo-chrome with a slightly grey undertone.
This palette is so versatile, with the different looks you can achieve using this, it really makes the £15.50 price tag, seem like great value for money.
Need a new neutrals palette? Then look no further, this is your guy! And now I am craving some chocolate!
