Nighttime is definitely one of my favourite times of day, I’m such an early bird, doing all sorts of jobs before work, that when I walk in the door, I love nothing more than heading up to have a soak in the bath (especially in the winter), cleansing my skin and slapping on products for bedtime.
As the weather becomes colder, my skin becomes unhappy and seems to suffer in the winter. It freaks out and becomes dry and dehydrated. There are however a few really fantastic products which I keep beside my bed to replenish moisture, they work really well in conjunction with each other. I don’t use every single product every single night, I alternate between them. I love using a night time mask and the top 2 on my list are Korres Greek Yoghurt Sleeping Facial and Sisley’s Express Flower Gel. Both are designed to work while you sleep and hydrate the skin by morning. Jam packed with goodness both of these pack a real punch to provide some much needed intense hydration. Sisley’s Flower Gel was one of the very first products I bought after starting my blogging career. Still going strong after 2 years, this still works wonders. Rest assured I will be cutting this pretty tube up very soon, so every last drop is used up.
If you are looking for a miracle oil, I highly recommend Sarah Chapman’s Skinesis Overnight Facial and Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. Both do a similar job, are light on the skin and smell incredible. Expensive, however they both work. My dry skin soaks both of these up, without clogging the pores.
To help me sleep, I am in love with This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. A quick spritz of this around the bedroom, creates a perfect haven to help you drift off to sleep easily.
If you wish to up your skincare this winter, these 4 products are a great place to start.
