On good skin days, I tend to reach for a light base. For as long as can remember I have opted for Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (an all-time favourite) or Seventeen’s CC Cream. Both fantastic, providing just enough coverage with an ever so slightly dewy finish.
Cover Girl’s Ready Set Gorgeous has been all over American You Tube. Every single video I have watched has raved about this. After doing some detective work, I found it was for sale on Ebay for around £12.00 including postage from Vegas, so naturally I placed an order. Unsure of which colour to order, I opted for Creamy Natural, 110. It’s slightly on the pale side, but nothing a little blush can’t fix.
The packaging is not my favourite, when you have been spoilt with Chanel, it’s hard to compete. However the actual formula is beautiful. Creamy and easy to blend (I used a Beauty Blender), it does a fantastic job providing an even base with a lovely matte finish. The medium coverage easily covers redness and imperfections. My skin looked flawless all day long and the lasting power is incredible! As you all know I have dry skin, however my t-zone is prone to shine. RSG helped to combat this, and surprisingly my skin didn’t look cakey at all.
It lasted really well without a primer, it was holding up even after 8 hours. This is certainly one of my new favourite foundations; formula wise, I cannot fault it, it is just amazing. Want to pick up one for yourself? Head here. I’m already planning on placing a back-up order.
