Purple shampoo does work. In fact I would go as far as to say it is the ONE product blondes need in their hair-care routine. I was born a red-head, as the years rolled round my hair became much lighter verging on a strawberry-blonde hue. Now in my thirties, my hair has faded considerably more and is even lighter with different blonde tones. And it’s all natural.
To keep the vibrancy and tones alive, I have started using purple shampoo once a week. No, I am not a bottled blonde, however I have so many different tones to my hair, I have found using a toning shampoo is a complete game-changer. All those different tones, seem lighter and brighter after using a dollop of this.
To use: Apply liberally and massage into the hair. Leave on for around 5 minutes (check the packaging) and then rinse, Easy peasy! I like to mix with my favourite shampoo, as this seems to be less drying on the hair.
Fancy a go? Then Provoke’s Touch Of Silver is a great, affordable way to restore hair to its former cooler tones.
Purple shampoo gives my hair a new lease of life, almost as though I have spent 3 hours in the hairdressers chair with an attractive array of foils covering my head.
