January Beauty Favourites.

January Favourites, January Beauty Favourites

Last year I was a little lax with publishing monthly favourites. Now we are into a New Year, I wanted to change this and January seemed a pretty good place to start.
Clinique’s Moisture Surge Face Spray has been a star this month. I have nearly reached the end of the bottle, but it will definitely be one that I will be repurchasing. I have found using this to dampen a Beauty Blender or just to give the face a quick refresh has worked wonders. Dry patches seem to have nearly disappeared and my dry skin really seems to love this. It has quickly become a permanent fixture in my skin care routine.
Prevage‘s Anti Ageing Treatment Boosting Cleanser (by Elizabeth Arden) is so very expensive. I don’t know how much a face wash can impact ageing, all I know is this orange scented scrub-like formula is lovely and leaves skin feeling soft, smooth and refreshed. If you are looking for a much cheaper option Clarins One Step Facial Cleanser (with orange extract) appears to be very similar.

To moisturise I have been using Korres’ Guava Body Butter. This is a real treat when you step out of the shower. Seriously great stuff. Smells like a tropical holiday in a tube and hours later the scent still lingers. Incredibly moisturising and non-greasy. For something even more special I have been using Jo Malone’s sample pot of Nectarine Blossom and Honey. Ideal for slapping on after a hot bath. As you would expect from JM, it smells delicious, does wonders for the skin and is lovely and rich.

Base wise I’ve been switching it up between Chanel’s Perfection Lumiere Velvet (which I love almost as much as Aqua Vitalumiere) and Cover Girl’s fantastic Ready Set Gorgeous. Both foundations give good coverage, are easy to blend, last fairly well on the skin and leave a lovely finish.

If you have been reading for a while you will know that tonnes of products irritate my eyes, so when I find something which is extra good and shows no sign of causing any problems, I stick with it. First Aid Beauty’s Eye Duty Triple Remedy brightens, depuffs and smooths skin. It even states on the tube that it’s safe for sensitive skin. So if you too need something to help with those dark circles and have sensitive eyes this is a fantastic product to try. The metal tip is cooling on the skin and the product is slightly tinted so ideal to colour correct. Love it!!
