Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation (The Forgotten One).

Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation, foundation, base

I first used Bourjois’ 123 Perfect Foundation years ago and loved it back then. When I was recently in Boots’ (you know just casually picking up some toothpaste and tissues – yeah, right!) I wanted to give a new foundation a try and decided to pick up this old faithful friend. I had forgotten just how good this stuff is. I mean, this could easily give some of the high end foundations a run for their money. It leaves skin looking great and is at least a third of the price.

Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation, foundation, base

Bourjois’ 123 Perfect Foundation combines 3 colour correctors to tackle common skin issues. The idea being that it will give the most perfect, flawless base. Yellow pigments to cover dark circles, purple to brighten the skin and green to combat redness.

The application is fairly mess-free as the foundation comes with a pump. Zoeva’s 104 Buffer brush is the absolute perfect companion to apply this foundation with. I pump 2 pumps onto the top of the buffer brush, Dot on each cheek, forehead. nose and chin and blend from the centre of the face working outwards.

The foundation melts into the skin to give a light coverage, however it is buildable. If you wish to build it up a little more, it’s very easy to apply a little more to problem areas as the formula blends beautifully. I suffer quite badly with red cheeks and this little bottle of magic really tones down the redness. It’s not eliminated completely, which is great, because skin still looks like skin, however any redness is reduced considerably. It will also cover minor blemishes and pores with minimal effort.
123 lasts well on the skin, even without a primer. The colour correctors work well and my complexion certainly looked brighter and flawless. Paired with the Zoeva brush, these two works wonders together to leave a natural, improved complexion.
If you only have around £10 to spend on a foundation, this is one you should definitely try. 123 has been the one I have been using on a daily basis for the last 3 weeks now and is certainly as good as anything else in my foundation/base collection.
