With the warmer months (we hope) on the way, although as I write this, it’s definitely typical of April showers, I feel it’s time to switch up skincare and makeup and invest in a couple of statement pieces for the wardrobe. Yes, I have picked expensive, luxury products, however this is just a wish list. I am quite sure I may pick up the Rayban’s and the Too Faced palette, however £280 for a pair of sandals? I am quite sure I will carry on wishing. Here’s the lowdown:
I have been looking for some leather/rope sandals for a while and I came across these beautiful Isabel Marant Etoile Jeana Rope and Leather Sandals on Instagram. At £280, they are certainly an investment, however I am quite sure the quality would be fantastic, they would be worn to death and go with everything. I am, after all trying to buy less and better quality items that are an investment and don’t end in the bin at the end of the season. So, I will keep dreaming…For now!
I am a great advocate for Estee Lauder’s Double Wear foundation (you can read my review here), however now we are over the worst of the winter weather I crave something lighter. The next base to try on my list is from L’Occitane. Their Pivoine Sublime CC Skin Tone Perfecting Cream appears a good choice for the warmer months. at £26 it is comparative to many high-end foundations, however the UV protection, luminosity it promises and lightweight base are all very appealing. Plus the reviews seem pretty good too.
Chanel’s La Solution 10 De Chanel is a moisturiser packed with only 10 ingredients. Formulated to de-stress, soothe and re-balance skin, I am already sold. I may not be able to afford the much coveted Boy bag right now, however at a much cheaper £58 (30ml), there is a way I can have a little Chanel in my life. Those two C’s, ahhhh.
Rayban must be my favourite sunglasses. Classic styles, great quality and cheaper than many. I already own a pair of Aviators and Wayfarers so the next to add to my collection are the Clubmasters.
Last time in London I was lured into Fresh’s shop in Marylebone. I had heard so much about their Sugar Lychee Eau De Parfum (£39 -30ml) and had to give this a spritz. It is just dreamy and shot straight to the top of my fragrance wishlist. Fresh are now stocked in the UK, so we can all get a fix, yay!
I have used L’Occitane’s Precious Light Cream (£48 – 50ml) before and was fairly impressed. However this has now been reformulated with an ‘ultra light texture’ to allow skin to breathe. An ultra lightweight cream packed with SPF20, moisturising and non-cloggy sounds amazing to me. This will be coming along with me on holiday in June. It may just be the perfect holiday moisturiser.
Too Faced’s Sweet Peach Palette has all the shades to create springtime looks, apparently it smells of peach. I love the ombre packaging, even though this may be classed as slightly on the tacky side. Available on 25/4 from Debenhams, I am quite sure I will order this from my bed before I surface, I am sure it will be a sell out.
