A Few New Lip Products Featuring Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs & Revlon.
Normally a mascara/foundation kinda girl, I have been favouring lip products of late. Quite honestly this surprises me. You can catch up with my favourite nude from YSL right here. The lip products featured today all seem to have one thing in common, the (similar) shade. Here are the 3 which have been rockin’ my boat lately.
Of course there was only one reason I really bought this lipstick. My namesake. The luxurious packaging, magnetic closure and pigmented, creamy formula all hit the spot. Colour wise, a cotton candy pinky nude, slightly brighter than it appears in the bullet. I believe in some strange way Marc Jacobs named this after me (*deluded*). The quality is superb and after trying this I am keen to buy his much talked about Under (cover) Coconut Primer.
Much browner in tone. I was completely in love with this when I tested it at a counter in Norwich. A pretty pinky/brown, warm tone perfect for every day and especially work appropriate, I am quite sure you could find a much, much cheaper version from the drugstore. However, I feel happy leaving for work in the morning with expensive coated lips. The formula is just dreamy and fairly long lasting too.
Much cheaper, however similar in tone, Revlon’s matte devotion is a great budget option. For the matte lover, this sweet scented mauve/pink nude is perfect for daily wear. Long lasting once on, it’s fairly easy to blend and will stay put for hours. I also found this to be one matte lip product which doesn’t dry out the lips too much. I have wanted to try Kat Von D’s Liquid Lipstick in Lovesick for a long-time and after checking online this looks fairly similar-ish in tone.
