It seems things finally caught up with me this week. I was struck with a dreaded 48 hour bug, which laid me low and left me feeling pretty rubbish. Safe to say my skin appeared to suffer as well. It’s normal glow replaced with a dull, lack-lustre complexion. Over the past couple of days True North skincare products have been my saviour.
As I drink the healthy smoothie I have just made (a concoction of bananas, cacao powder, organic peanut butter, oats, a drizzle of honey and a little milk), hoping it will restore my body to a degree of normality, I am currently sporting a thick face mask.
True North’s De Stressed Mask 6.1 has literally been just what the Doctor ordered. For the past few days my skin has felt dry, dehydrated, more sensitive than usual and a little worse for wear. Maybe it was telling me I was due for a bought of sickness. Safe to say 6.1 really has sorted out my skin and left a somewhat radiant glow.
‘True North’s De Stressed Mask is a velvety rich gel mask designed to give instant relief to stressed skin‘. Packed with allantoin (to heal and soothe), peptides, hyaluronic acid and Vitamins A & E.
After covering my face with this concoction, my skin feels softer, less irritated and once applied it almost adds a cooling sensation to the skin. This is a real winner.
Alongside 6.1, I have also really enjoyed using another product from True North, this time it’s an eye cream, Timeless 5.3. Suitable for all skin types, this is more of a gel than a cream and it gives a much needed hydration boost to the under eye area, in the most gentle way.
As you may know if you have been reading for a while, my eyes can react to anything new, be it creams, eyeshadows or a new mascara. Timeless isn’t one of them. It soaks into the skin beautifully to leave eyes looking perked up. Somehow the aloe vera balancing complex also finds a way to diminish dark circles significantly. Safe to say, I haven’t missed a day using this since its arrival.
Skincare wise it takes alot to wow me, however these products from True North are quickly becoming essentials to my skincare routine, sick days or not.
