One Palette To Pack In Your Suitcase: The Hourglass Ambient Edit.
June 4, 2016
I must admit, I’m a little late publishing this post. The Hourglass Ambient Edit Palette was all over Instagram and Pinterest towards the end of 2015. There must have been thousands of perfect pictures on Instagram showing off this pretty palette to its very best. It was sold out everywhere. Somehow, as if by magic, Tony managed to source this and come Christmas day it was a very welcome and much loved addition to my makeup collection.
Enough rambling. Here are just a few reasons, this is the ideal palette to pack in your suitcase this summer.
The Hourglass Ambient edit consists of two blushers, contour, bronzer, setting powder and highlight, so in fact this is your perfect travel companion. As well as having a large mirror for on the go, the six products can be used to contour, highlight and set makeup, all from the same pan. Just don’t forget to pack a few brushes with you. Here’s what’s inside:
Dim Light: A bronzed/peach powder ideal for sweeping over cheeks and using as a contour.
Iridescent Strobe Light: A pink toned powder. I use this to highlight with.
Diffused Light: A sheer, pale yellow shade. Perfect to set skin and the undereye area. Non-creasy. One of my favourites from the whole palette.
Mood Exposure: A soft plum shade.
Luminous Flush: A rose pink tone marbled with champagne flecks.
Luminous Bronze Light: A medium toned bronzer. Ideal to add warmth to the face.
I tend to sweep a mixture of Mood Exposure, Luminous Flush and Luminous Bronze Light, all in one stroke to the cheeks to leave a pretty glow to the cheeks (as below).
This is the only Hourglass product I currently have in my ever-growing collection and I am certainly impressed. The powders are soft, finely milled and sit beautifully on the skin. Lightweight, they all provide a lovely light, perfected finish.
If you can still get your hands on this palette, I highly recommend investing, it’s just beautiful. A one-stop shop for the perfect glow and ideal to pack in your suitcase at any time of year.
Have you tried this palette? What do you think; worth the hype?
