As some of you may have guessed (as you read this), I will still be in Tenerife, coming towards the end of our trip.
However I have pre-written this post and choosing just a few products to pack was very hard. Yes today I am sharing with you what I would pack to be the perfect travel makeup bag!
I had to choose a variety of different products, all from a massive collection. so it was pretty hard to condense down what I was going to take along with me. Put it simply, the products featured in this edit, must have made the grade.
Tool wise; I always take a supply of Real Techniques face brushes with me. Powder, face, foundation, contour and blush. These are staples in my every day collection and I couldn’t be without them. I am always on the hunt to find new brushes and so far (price-point) wise, nothing compares.
First off, I packed Lush’s Million Dollar Moisturiser to use under my makeup. This gives the most hydrated, luminous base and the glow is just beautiful, especially welcome at this time of the year.
For the base, I took Tarte’s Rainforest of The Sea Water Foundation. You can read my full review here. I’m still loving this. It’s lightweight and leaves a lovely sheer look to the skin, whilst covering everything. I am pleased to report the longevity is pretty good too. Wanting to switch things up? I also packed Urban Decay’s new One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector. Ideal for day or night.
To set the base, I popped in Rimmel’s Stay Matte powder. Finely milled, this is great stuff and has never let me down. For cheeks, The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit, Dior’s Rosy Glow blush and Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow (one product from her collection I adore). To highlight, Becca X Jaclyn Hill’s Champagne Pop (swoon).
Lip wise, I headed mainly to YSL territory and snuck in MAC’s Tropic Tonic. All bright, pretty coral/pinks for the summer lip (YSL Rouge Volupte Shades 12 & 33). MAC’s version is much heavier, so more night time appropriate. YSL are highly pigmented with a yummy watermelon scent. I always pack a tube of Carmex, among other lip balms. Dior’s balm is an absolute fave at the moment.
For the eyes, I am taking three old favourites with me. For the brows, L’Oreal’s Brow Artist Plumper. This has long been top of my list. For fluttery lashes, it has to be Benefit’s Roller Lash and Clinique’s Bottom Lash Mascara.
What do you pack? I am fairly sure that this is one fairly streamlined, minimal bag. Do you agree?
