I’m extremely loyal when it comes to lip products; brands, colours, formulas and finishes. I know exactly what I like, what suits me and always seem to use the same few items over and over again on rotation. Looking at my collection, it mainly consists of the cliche ‘your lips but better’ colours, nudes and a few berry tones. There’s nothing outrageous. Just neutral, pretty tones.
Picture the scene. It’s Sunday as I write this. We are heading to the local pub to meet with family and enjoy a hearty roast with all the trimmings. I’ve opted for flawless, glowy skin, a little mascara, groomed brows and fancied something a little bolder on the lips rather than my usual glossy nude-ish option.
Color Pop’s Master Plan, stood out a mile. A pretty, dusty plum colour, not too dark. Perfect for this time of year. It is easy to apply, with a lovely creamy texture and sets to a beautiful, glossy formula. You can apply more than one coat so the colour is more intense and over time the formula fades evenly on the lips.
Even after finishing my meal, the colour was still kind of there. Instead of a glossy lip, the gloss had long gone, however the tone was still apparent and it faded to an almost berry stain, in the most even way.
I am yet to try Alyssa or Finders Keepers but Master Plan is fast becoming a firm favourite and staple in my makeup bag.
Have you tried any Color Pop products; are there any stand out products you love? Have you tried their lip products, what do you think? And of course, do you have any recommendations?
