Ok, so at the moment it seems I can’t write a damn post, not in my usual happy style anyway, it’s really bothering me and I am hoping my mojo returns soon.
However there’s a reason I had to post today. This bag! I am absolutely in love with it. Yesterday I hopped on the tube and went to Glamour’s Beauty Festival at the Saatchi Gallery and this tan and black beauty came on it’s maiden voyage with me. I just had to share this with you before it sells out!
It’s a fairly big deal when my trusty Whistle’s Lexham stays at home and this bag proved to be the perfect companion.
First off I decided on a pair of skinny jeans. A charcoal grey tie-dye, cold shoulder (so on trend) top and a casual black blazer from ASOS. Smart but a little on the dreary side.
Needing a pop of colour I opted for this colour-block across body bag.. Small but being cross body it was ideal for the journey to London, leaving my hands free to shop!
Under the flap at the front there is a small pouch, ideal for a mobile phone or card holder. I opted for the latter and it allowed easy access for when I was making any purchases. The main compartment of the bag was ideal to store makeup for touch ups, a pocket size Jo Malone bottle and my iPhone.
The shape and style remind me very much of a cross between a Chloe bag and YSL’s coveted blogger bag with the side tassels.
Providing much more room than YSL’s version it even managed to hold an assortment of snack bars, a little shopping and an ice cold bottle of Starbucks Frappucino.
An absolute steal at around £10 and comfortable to wear, this little gem gave my outfit the much needed pop of colour it so badly needed.
What do you think to this beauty from Matalan? I’d love to know which bag you are loving at the moment, high street or high end.
Matalan really seem to be hitting all the high notes when it comes to their bag selection at the moment.
