First of all apologies, for a beauty blogger, that almost seems criminal. Secondly, fear not, for this year I am determined to post favourites much more regularly.
Today isn’t so much a full round-up of wonderful things. Instead today I am talking about 3 products that have firmly cemented a place in my beauty stash. Two of which are close to achieving HGS (Holy Grail Status). So, let’s start with those…
Glossier have been everywhere!!! Instagram friendly beauty products inspired by daily life. Glossier are all about getting the skin right first. Following up with make up to leave skin looking natural and with a beautiful, dewy finish.
Body Hero is fast becoming one of my all-time favourite body products. A thick, however non-greasy hydrating oil to use in the shower or bath. If you love L’Occitane’s Almond Oil, then this will be right up your street.
Slightly almond scented and much thicker in consistency than L’Occitane’s oil. You use less, so a bottle seems to lasts longer. Skin is left uber clean, smells amazing and the oil is super hydrating. Just what my skin needs this winter.
I must admit as I came to the end of this bottle, I was feeling slightly anxious. Until I receive a new bottle I just hope my skin will remain happy!
At just £15 a pop, Body Hero is great value for money and definitely one I will keep in my shower for as long as it’s available.
REN Atlantic Kelp & Magnesium Salt Anti-Fatigue Exfoliating Body Scrub
To fight dryness and keep legs and arms as smooth as possible, REN’s Kelp and Magnesium Salt Scrub is incredible. Slightly on the oily side (microalgae oil), with granules of fresh sea-salts. The salts are just the right size to give your limbs a good old scrub without being too harsh. I’m rather particular about scrubs, some just don’t seem to give enough of a scrub and others are perfect.
REN’s offering falls into the latter category; this scrub is a pleasure to use and gently polishes and buffs the skin to perfection. It’s also enriched with essential oils to refresh both body and mind. Perfect for a detox this January, I have already reached the end of the tub and will have to restock pronto. If you’re looking for a hydrating scrub which removes dry skin gently and effectively then this is definitely one to add to your list.
150ml for £18.00
Victoria’s Secret Bombshell
Last off and lovely but not quite worthy of HGS is Victoria’s Secret Bombshell fragrance. An impromptu purchase one wet afternoon in New York City. Along with some rather fine (and I must say extremely comfy) underwear!
Bombshell is not something I would rush out to buy again, you see I’m rather loyal to Jo Malone and Diptyque. However for a fresh, girly, rather floral scent this is something I have been using every day.
It’s perfect for a quick spritz and leaves me feeling happy as I leave the house. Definitely worth a sniff if you are in a Victoria’s Secret store. A fragrance that has really surprised me by quite how much I enjoy wearing it.
So there you have it 3 new recommendations to add to your list. If you have tried anything lately which you would award HGS to or there is something that didn’t quite hit the spot, please do let me know.
