Some Sunday’s I want to drink tea to my heart’s content. Sit in a fluffy robe and sport the trendiest face mask. Come lunch-time I feel like I should pull a pair of jeans on, look somewhat presentable and head on out into the
For the days when roast beef, a log fire and chunky scarf is on the cards, this is the makeup to slap on. A quick and easy look to feel confident-ish and super pretty-ish.
Base wise I have been loving YSL’s All Hours Foundation. From the get-go I was unsure if I would gel with the formula (it’s not a gel one by the way it’s liquid). I’d heard reviews saying it wasn’t really for dry skin. I beg to differ and if you keep an eye out there will be a full review up very soon. It blends beautifully and the lasting power is pretty good. For the days when you want to cover imperfections to leave a flawless base behind, then this is the product to use. The one to say, ‘I’ve got great skin and really haven’t tried too hard’.
For a pretty pop of colour to the cheeks, Benefit’s Galifornia has been the one to warm up that complexion. Even though I have rosy cheeks, this pairs perfectly with YSL’s Foundation to leave a lovely finish to the cheeks. Normally a bronzer girl this is one blush I find works well to give a pretty pop.
Lashes. Ahhh, my all time favourite (even though Benefit’s Roller Lash comes a close second), YSL’s Babydoll. Lashes are super jet black, lengthened and separated. It doesn’t flake and I personally think one of the easiest ever mascaras to apply. Foolproof!
Not being able to really tell from these pictures, I have beefed my brows up with Glossier’s Boy Brow. The excellent formula leaves brows looking groomed, glossy and thicker. Again another product a real novice could master (even I can use this).
To finish off I have slathered Chantecaille’s ultra pretty pink Lucky Brilliant Lipgloss. Super expensive, however it leaves a beautiful sheen to the lips, giving that desired 3D effect. On the Sunday’s you are feeling a little worse for wear, a quick slick of this over the lips will soon restore the Goddess in you!
If you were interested, my ‘Funday’ jumper is from Next and around £30. The cosy scarf is also from Next and £8 in the sale.
For the days you just can’t be bothered, but still need to look somewhat presentable when you close your front door, what have you been using on your face?
Happy Sunday! In fact Happy Funday! Now get off to the pub for a roast dinner. Or to the coffee shop for a slab of cake and a fresh steaming cup of hot chocolate!
