If money was no object these are the items I would add to my collection this Summer. Maybe one or two will feature over the next few weeks…
Glossier Invisible Shield £20 (30ml)
After years of hearing we should wear SPF every day come rain or shine, I have been more careful as of late to invest in a daily SPF. Currently I have been using La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (SPF30), however I am keen to find something which is targeted towards sun protection only. Glossier’s Invisible Shield has mixed reviews all over the web. I have tried and loved both Body Hero and Boy Brow, so am keen to snap this up and form my own opinion. Once I eventually get my hands on this and have given it a thorough test, I will let you know how it goes and if it’s worth dropping your cash on.
Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette £56
Let’s just say I have been after this for a while and still haven’t managed to add this to my collection. When I am in the market for a new palette, Huda Beauty is where it’s at. Surprisingly, I am yet to try anything from their iconic line. The rich neutral tones and variety of shades included in this palette make this a tempting treat.
It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream £30
As the weather warms up I am a chuck-it-on-your-face kind of girl and don’t worry about makeup for the rest of the day. Heavy bases will be pushed to the back, preferring something much, much lighter to leave my fairly good skin with a natural base. I haven’t tried a new CC Cream in a long time and if you’re a beauty junkie like me, you will know this has been everywhere. I am keen to jump on the It Cosmetics bus and look forward to my skin just better!
Chantecaille Just Skin (Nude) £64 (50g)
I’ve only tried this for a shade match in a local Space NK store and was seriously impressed. In my head, I feel Just Skin is a similar formula to It Cosmetics. A lightweight base to leave skin looking better than it’s natural self with an undetectable finish. It’s just twice the price. While I loved the finish this gave to the skin, I’m hoping It Cosmetics will work just as well. So hopefully saving me money in the long run! If It Cosmetics CC Cream doesn’t give me the coverage I need, this will be a great option to invest in.
Dior Pump ‘N’ Volume Mascara £27
I love Dior’s makeup and skincare and am always on the hunt for the best mascara out there. Benefit’s Rollerlash and YSL’s Babydoll have both been clear favourites for years, I am intrigued more than anything to see what Pump ‘N’ Volume can do!
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Face Mask £42 (64g)
We all know I’m a skincare junkie. As with mascara, I’m always on the look out for the next best face mask. The Jet Lag Face Mask is packed with green, vegan ingredients, vitamins and anti-oxidants. It’s meant to leave skin looking radiant and dewy whilst hydrating at the same time. If it’s good enough for Kim K West, then it must be good. I’m joining the waitlist now!
LXMI Pure Nilotica Melt £24 (50ml)
A nut butter balm to hydrate thirsty skin. The perfect accompaniment to your hand bag. Multipurpose products are my favourite and whilst I love Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Cream, sometimes I don’t want something which leaves a sheen on the skin. I’m hoping this balm is a little less intense (more for dry skin than as a lipbalm/highlighter) but which works just as hard as EA’s wonder product.
Nurse Jamie Face Roller £55
I fancy face rolling. There, that’s it! Nurse Jamie exercises facial muscles and stimulates cells for a fresher appearance. Whether I snap this roller up or a much cheaper jade roller remains to be seen. Face Rolling could become quite an addiction! And for the price of a Jamie Roller, I only have to forgo one facial!
By Terry Lash Expert Twist Mascara £25
Similar to Dior’s Pump and Volume? Well, it’s currently £2 cheaper. It’s mascara and By Terry can coat my lashes any day of the week. I am really interested to compare this mascara to Dior’s. After the current tube of Babydoll and Rollerlash come to an end, this is the next on my list.
Have you tried either or both of these mascaras? Do you recommend either? Or is there something you like more? Have you tried anything on my wishlist? I would be interested in any recommendations….
