On the hunt for a hero product? Something natural and organic to help with those problematic feet? Me too! And I think I may have just found something to tickle your fancy (or indeed your feet)!
When Botanicals Natural Organic Skincare contacted me and asked if I would like to work with them and try something from their award-winning products it was a no-brainer! Of course, I said yes!
A local-ish brand, proud of their English roots, who don’t test on animals and whose products are suitable for Vegans. Organic products at an affordable price which really work.
All products are handmade using only ‘carefully selected fresh natural and organic ingredients’. Beautifully packaged in almost apothecary style pots and bottles, this was one brand I wanted to try and I could not wait to get started with their Foot Rescue Balm.
If you have been a reader of my blog for a while now you will know my feet are not my most attractive asset. Sometimes I feel bad for them, I mean my feet have travelled everywhere and have ultimately got me to the top of that volcano/skycraper/Mexican ruins. As the years roll round, I’ve started to appreciate my size 8’s and thank them more.
My Feet Problems
My skin is dry. Even with copious amounts of hydrating body lotions, oily scrubs and litres of chilled drinking water my body still suffers from dryness. However if I do keep up with regular moisturisation and bottles of Evian my skin certainly feels and looks much better. My feet are especially dry and I suffer from cracked heels, although a recent trip to the chiropodist and a session with an industrial foot file seems to have worked wonders. I’m keen to keep it that way. You should now get the gist of the condition of my feet, so let’s move on to the actual product.
Key Ingredients of Botanicals Foot Rescue Balm
Organic Shea butter, Organic Jojoba, Organic Apricot Kernel Oil, Organic Peppermint, Spearmint and Tea Tree Essential Oils.
Everyone! Especially those with dry skin.
Apply a pea sized amount. Work into the skin until the product has completely absorbed. For optimum results use before bedtime. Also perfect to use if you’re at home having tea/cake/a blogging day. Shower, add balm and finish off with you favourite pair of lightweight cotton socks.
I have been using the Foot Rescue Balm for around 4 weeks now. Mainly at night time. The oily consistency makes this a treat to massage into the skin. The strong spearmint scent is fresh and pleasant and appeals to both morning or evening use (although fresh it also smells somewhat relaxing).
The balm itself is ultra hydrating and nourishing. It’s easy to use and even though a pea-sized amount is recommended I have been seriously slapping this on. Any excess I have been massaging into my hands and cuticles. The balm also works really well as a pamper treat for both hands and nails.
The only thing to note is the product can be slippery to the touch so be careful when applying and slap your socks on as soon as you have applied. Be careful not to fall over, as I certainly would if I hadn’t read the product information before use!
With continued use I have found the skin on my feet is noticeably softer. The cracks have diminished somewhat and the general condition of my skin has improved no-end. I am really happy with this foot balm and am keen to continue using to see if it can make the cracks disappear completely.
Botanical’s Foot Rescue Balm is a lovely addition to anyone’s bathroom cabinet. This isn’t just a lovely ‘rub in balm’, which smells nice and temporarily looks after feet. This balm works, it really works and so far using this has really improved both the look and feel of my feet. I’m quite sure with prolonged use my size 8’s will continue to improve further.
If you too are needing something both luxurious, cruelty free and which really works, this is something you really need to try!
Do you also suffer with cracked heels, dry or problematic feet? Is there anything you’ve used which really works? And have I convinced you to try this?
