At some point or another we all have trouble sleeping. You can guarantee the one night you really need a great nights sleep, it just doesn’t happen.
Sleep wise, for me sometimes it’s a struggle. My partner has sleep aponea and has to wear a mask at bedtime to help regulate his breathing. For most of the time his mask is fairly quiet but there are times when it hisses and splutters, making a terrible noise which wakes me up. The tossing and turning begins and I find it hard to drift off again.
Block Out The Noise
Over the last few months I have been trying all sorts to help get a restful night. Top of the list, very glam and highly effective are ear plugs.
Bio Ears (available from Boots) are £5 for 3 pairs (each pair can be worn up to 3 times). I have tried Boots own version, as they are slightly cheaper and they’re ok but not quite as good.
You mould them to fit inside the ear and to some extent they do block out unwanted noise. Because they are silicone they stay put all night, however I do have to tie my hair back as it has been known I have woken up with a big chunk of hair stuck to my ear.
Make sure they fit snugly as you may wonder what is happening when like me, you wake up with a lump of silicone in your mouth! Oooohhh! I don’t advise of this!
I am a massive believer in getting at least 8 hours good quality sleep a night. Any less and quite frankly I do not feel my best. On less than my needed amount, I feel hungover without the Prosecco and my body aches. My skin feels particularly parched and looks dull.
For The Face
Skincare wise I have been a huge fan of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil for as long as I can remember. I have however now discovered something even better. A face oil which helps you unwind and drift off easily whilst working hard to restore skin overnight.
Step forward the star of the show (and the main reason for this blog post), Neom’s Perfect Night’s Sleep Face Oil.
This skincare product is rich in oils to leave skin feeling hydrated, nourished and rested. After using this the night before, in the morning I do not dread the sight of my reflection in the morning, come 6am. My complexion appears to glow and my skin looks fresh and radiant.
The formula is 100% natural and absorbs into the skin beautifully. It really soaks in and doesn’t sit on the top of your skin.
It’s super easy to use. I have been using my favourite skincare products as usual and this slots into my routine as the last step a real treat.
A 2-in-1 oil to help you sleep and which also perks up tired skin to leave you feeling like a new, slightly less frazzled woman (or man) at the sight of sun-rise!
