As part of my skincare routine I use face mists daily. A quick spritz to hydrate, refresh or to just give skin a little needed extra boost has become an important part of my daily ritual.
Today I share with you the top 3 mists I have been reaching for on rotation.
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist.
For the days when skin feels a little parched (and let’s face it that’s Monday – Sunday), I call in an old favourite, Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist. I have had this in my skincare stash for a while now and could not wait to get started after loving the original 8 Hour Miracle Cream for years now.
As the spray is ultra fine it’s hard to go overboard. The 8 hour mist is suitable for use before and after makeup and is the perfect accompaniment to keep on your desk for a quick refresh throughout the day or in your gym bag for a hit of hydration after your Zumba class. A quick zap all over the face and this product soaks into the skin beautifully.
Infused with super fruits (acai, goji, mangosteen, pomegrante and coffee seed extract). Aloe juice (to hydrate and soothe), Apple Leaf (to reduce redness and blotchiness). Sodium PCA and Glycerin.
Lemon Water, Rose and Bergamot.
Surprisingly this doesn’t smell like the Original 8 Hour Cream. The scent is uplifting and fresh, so if you’re not a fan of the original scent, do not let that put you off. I would hate for you to miss out on trying such a great product.
Soothe and calm the skin. For a instant hydration boost.
To Wake The Skin Up!
Pixi Vitamin Wake Up Mist
One of the only face mists I have come very close to finishing. This stuff is good, really good.
Picture the scene. You scramble around at 6am, hit the alarm, snooze, eventually surface with lack-lustre skin, sleep filled eyes and in desperate need of a coffee/tea. Even after an over hot shower, teeth clean and over-spray of Dove you still feel a little worse-for-wear. This is where Pixi’s Vitamin Wake Up Mist comes in.
A rich blend of citrus notes (grapefruit in abundance, orange and lemon), Pixi’s Vitamin Wakeup Mist does what it says on the tin.
After a rough night when you really need something to give you that pick me up the following morning, this is the product I reach for nearly daily. Granted, I do not have that many sleepless nights, however after regular use this is one mist I am rather addicted to!

Water/Aqua/Eau, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Water, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Allantoin, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Citrus Grandis (grapefruit) Peel Oil, Adenosine, Tropolone, Disodium EDTA, Arginine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavendar) Oil, Citrus Sinensis Peel Oil Expressed, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Sodium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Maltodextrin, Calcium Pantothenate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pryidoxine HCI, Silica.
Perk up tired skin pre office hours or to help combat that afternoon slump. A real pep-me-up in a bottle, Pixi’s mist instantly gives glow to tired skin in need of a pick-me-up. One of my favourite products of the year so far! It’s really rather fabulous.
Last and certainly not least is…
The Body Shop’s Mint Mattifying face Mist
Now I must admit I have only used this a handful of times, so this is more of a first impression than anything.
The mist is extremely fine and lightweight on the skin. The scent minty (spearmint as opposed to peppermint) and the formula suitable for use both before and after makeup.
I have noticed using this my makeup is set beautifully for the day and where my T-zone can become a little oily, The Body Shop’s Minty spritz helps to minimise the fading of foundation especially over my nose. I need to use a few more times to form a solid opinion but so far, so good.
Are you a face mist addict? Have you tried any of these, if so which is you favourite? If I haven’t mentioned your fave, please do let me know which mist is top of your list…
