Bodycare used to take a back seat.
As long as my facial skincare was on point and I had somewhat of a regular routine, my arms and legs were neglected and a regular moisturise became less rather than often.
Over the last few months it all changed. Whilst working my way through a tonne of lotions and potions, the two featured today really do deserve their own post. Both products are really rather fabulous in their own right and have become permanent fixtures within both my daily and weekly routine.
The Perfect Daily Body Moisturiser: Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion
£20 (200 ml) / £27 (400ml)
Super lightweight with a pleasant, fresh scent Caudalie’s Nourishing Body Lotion sinks into the sink beautifully. Quick to absorb (almost instant) to leave skin feeling soft and smooth with no greasy finish.
Ideal for use straight out of the shower, as this product absorbs so quickly. There is no waiting around after applying, waiting for the lotion to sink in. No excuse not to moisturise in the winter, this is seriously great stuff to use. After just one application my skin felt renewed and nourished. Surprisingly so for such a lightweight formula, this is a super rich and hydrating lotion.
Caudalie’s lotion almost seems to have a healing effect to the skin. The anti-oxidant properties have over time certainly improved the texture to leave a smoother feel and look.
93% natural ingredients including anti-oxidant grape Polyphenols (to prevent premature ageing) and Ginkgo Biloba (which activates micro-circulation).
0% parabens, phtalates, mineral oils and sulfates. Against animal testing. Plant-based bottle.
The Perfect Weekly Treat: REN AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum
After a leg wash and leg shave on a Sunday morning this is the one product I have been using over the last few weeks.
REN’s AHA Body Serum really is a tonic for the skin. Another ultra lightweight product, almost orange/citrus scented which absorbs quickly into the skin to leave a healthy and radiant glow.
The AHA’s work with the skin to exfoliate gently. Absolutely perfect to use on the back of legs and bum. I have found massaging this product into the back of the tops of my legs and bum area has improved the texture considerably. Of course cellulite will not just disappear, however this has certainly improved the look of that body area. I have also been using a body brush and have tried to get into a little dry brushing. The two together seem to be working and I would definitely pick another one of these up when this bottle comes to the end.
Bio Extracts: Lactic Acid (to gently exfoliate), Pro-Biotic Extract (to strengthen skin’s barrier) and Xylitol (to plump and smooth – for better hydration).
No parabens, mineral oils, sulphates, petroleum, synthetic fragrance or synthetic colours. Cruelty free. Never tested on animals. Dermatologist tested and approved.
For such lightweight products, both of these lotions pack a real punch. Caudalie’s lotion and REN’s serum (which is actually more lotion like in texture) work a treat together. My skin looks and feels better than it has in months. I haven’t really switched anything else up so am certain it is all down to these two products.
Both are now a firm fixture in my routine and firm favourites since I started blogging (all those years ago). Great, great, actually rather awesome products.
Have you tried either of these rather special lotions? Or indeed anything else from REN or Caudalie? Or do you have another favourite body product you cannot stop using?
