I first dabbled with Indie Lee skincare last summer. I fell in love with the COQ-10 Toner (of which you can read more about here).
The ethos of the brand (eco-chic) and actual products impressed me so much I wanted to try more. If you haven’t visited my site before, I am a massive skincare junkie and love discovering new products to suit my dry skin. If you’re looking for something new, products which really work from an up-and-coming brand with a great ethos then keep on reading.
On a quick side note imagine my delight when I headed to the coast and could match the branding to the beach hut! #lifegoals.
The perfect way to discover Indie Lee is to in fact try The Discovery Kit (self-explanatory hey)? A one stop box of cleanser (to brighten), toner (to perfect) and a treatment (to protect).
As well as a sachet of eye-cream which I only discovered was in the kit after I had recycled the box – note to self must check packaging before being so eager to send to the recycling bin.
Now, who doesn’t love a little bit of trying to do some good for the planet?
Let’s start off with the first step in anyone’s skincare routine cleansing.
Brightening Cleanser (30ml)
The first time I used this fruity all-natural cleanser I fell in love. Gentle, yet effective. A pea-sized amount of this cleanser goes a long, long way. Apply to damp skin, massage and rinse. This cleanser foams up beautifully and smells incredible, think raspberry/mango smoothie and you’re there. My skin felt very smooth and uber clean after use and with a new lease of life. It really does get rid of everything (gentle enough to remove the most stubborn of mascara), without stripping the skin.
Next off the wonderful COQ-10 Toner.
Not like a conventional toner, which to be honest sometimes can be a little too harsh on my skin. COQ-10 hydrates and re-balances the skins pH level. The standard size bottle doesn’t come with a pump, which the travel-sized version does. Not to waste any product, I find a quick spritz onto a couple of cotton wool pads works a treat, sweeping the product gently over the face. A welcome, refreshing and hydrating treat to the skin.
Squalane Facial Oil (10ml)
This oil is suitable for ‘dry, confused, mature or blemish prone skin’. If my skin feels a little unbalanced or stressed out, a few drops of this product pushed into the skin seems to clear up any small problem areas quickly. Every month I seem to get one awkward hormonal blemish and often a few dry patches around my chin. This potent olive-derived oil leaves my skin feeling soft and supple.
Since taking these photos, I have used up the cleanser (within around 8 days). I absolutely love it and will definitely buy again in the future. I have other cleansers to use up first which I don’t like quite as much as Indie Lee’s fruity cocktail, however I am all for using products up and am trying to buy less (that’s a story for another day).
We all know I’m a massive fan of COQ-10 and next time I’m surfing Cult Beauty will be picking up another full sized bottle for my skincare stash.
Early days with the oil, however first impressions are excellent. It’s lightweight with no scent, absorbs quickly, leaving skin feeling soft with no tightness. Perfect for the colder time of year when your skin is crying out for that much needed hydration hit.
This kit is the most perfect way to discover Indie Lee. Affordable without breaking the bank (£28 for the set). It’s perfect for travellers looking for a lightweight, skincare kit to pack into their suitcase at any time of year, with all 3 products working together harmoniously.
