With an upcoming Barcelona trip on the cards (3 weeks today I will be chomping on Spanish cuisine and mooching down Las Ramblas). It was time to give my skin an extra treat so I’m feeling my best when I step on Spanish soil.
Cue, Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask and NARS Monoi Body Glow Oil (II). One expensive-but-Oh-my-goodness-this-shizzle-really-works face mask and a beautiful body oil which leaves dull, parched skin feeling amazing and smelling quite wonderful. More on that later!
Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask is pure ‘magic in a tube’.
My in-my-30’s skin looks forward to a regular appointment with Jetlag. Not the plane-fuelled one of course, but this peppermint scented treat. I don’t mind dropping a load on something which really works. Here’s why it’s so great.
It’s made from green, vegan ingredients.
Packed full of vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants.
Skin feels smooth, plump, ultra-hydrated and soft.
The formula is non greasy, and although thick, the product soaks into the skin quickly.
Can be used as a mask, primer or intense moisturiser. When my skin is crying out for an instant shot of hydration, Jetlag is always the one I rely on. I tend to use both in the morning and also for a relaxing night in. I never rinse this off and just leave the product to soak in and work its magic.

With the most perfect face mask in my stash, I wanted something other then moisturiser to slap on my skin after a steamy shower. I’m a big fan of oils and when I heard all about NARS Monoi Body Glow Oil (II), I decided to invest.
As well as a really boujee oil to massage into damp skin, this will also be coming with me this summer to whichever beach destination we jet off to (of course Summer Fridays wonderful mask will be coming in my carry on luggage too – it’s only fitting right)?
Why I totally am into NARS Monoi Glow Oil (II)
The Scent. Just, WOW!!! It smells incredible. Pinacoladas, warm white sand, suncream and pineapple juice all packed together in a fancy bottle. Tiare Blossom (from Tahiti), white frangipani, ylang ylang and vanilla.
It feels luxurious and leaves skin feeling it’s absolute best. Soft and hydrated.
Monoi Glow is multi-purpose. Perfect for use after bath-time, after a stint in the hot sun or as a massage oil.
Also nourishing applied to the ends of your hair.
The formula is lightweight and absorbs beautifully.
Each bottle contains an original Tiare flower. From the photos you can see the oil has solidified due to the extremely cold weather on the days these pictures were taken, so the flower is not visible. If the product gets too cold I just heat up some hot water and stand the bottle in a bowl until it melts again. Then it’s perfect for use once again.
NARS’ oil is really beautiful and maybe ever so slightly a princess product. However it leaves skin soft, supple and smelling divine. For the few times I have used this I literally cannot get enough.
Expensive but so worth the dollar! When bath-time becomes a necessary but important step in your daily routine, Monoi Glow livens things up a little, leaving you feeling as though you’ve just emerged from a top London spa.
Have you tried NARS’ Oil or Summer Fridays Mask? What do you think, do you love these products as much as me or is there something else I need to try which is even better?
